Mexican style hotdog

Fancy simple but tasty? This is your lucky day. Get started with this recipe. Delicious recipe to get familiar with your outdoor stove.

What do you need?

  • Jalapeño cheddar hot dog (Sligro) or other hot dogs you like

  • Bacon

  • Hot dog sandwiches

  • Guacamole

  • Taco Shot Outlaw BBQ

  • BBQ sauce

  • Tortilla chips

  • Grated cheese

  • Skillet

  • Ready-made salad if desired

Let's get to work!

  1. Prepare the BBQ with a direct zone at about 180 degrees. While the BBQ is warming up, you can prepare the sausages. The sausages are ready-made and therefore do not need very much work. Wrap the sausages in the bacon and sprinkle the outside with the rub Taco Shot from Outlaw BBQ. A tasty rub with a spicy touch. A perfect addition to this dish. In the meantime, you put a layer of chips and cheese in a skillet.

  2. Once all preparations have been made and the BBQ is at the wright temperature, the sausages and the skillet with the chips can be placed on the BBQ. Fry the bacon a little, but keep turning the sausages regularly, so that it does not burn.

  3. When the sausages are good, you can smear them with a nice BBQ sauce.

  4. It is important that you ensure that the buns are also baked in the meantime. I kept the sausages warm on another BBQ, to bake the buns on the one that was already warm. Of course you can also choose to bake the buns in the oven.

  5. After everything is ready, it's time to fill the buns. First, spread some guacamole in the bun. Put the sausage on top and then the chips again. It's a challenge to eat it a bit decent, but the flavor combination is really fantastic!

Enjoy your meal!
